Adhikari Vows Nationalism After Jadavpur University Vandalism

A group of students linked to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad entered Jadavpur University and caused damage.

They threw burning cloth balls toward students inside an administrative building.

The university later gave CCTV footage of the incident to police.

Suvendu Adhikari spoke about the incident and blamed Left-wing students and groups he called anti-national.

He said the university did not properly use patriotic symbols and songs.

University teachers said those claims were wrong.

They said Vande Mataram is sung at convocations and that the national flag is hoisted.

They also said CCTV cameras exist and government officials have visited the campus.

Adhikari said his government would not compromise on nationalism.
