Indore: Ex-President, Others Booked for Illegal Plot Allotment
In Indore, the police have filed a case against the former president and vice president of a housing society meant for postal and telegraph employees.
The leaders are accused of giving plots of land to people who were not members and to their own family members.
This is against the rules.
The society was supposed to help homeless workers but the leaders treated the land as their own.
They even made fake documents to hide their actions.
The police have charged them for cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy.
Additionally, in Bhopal, a former deputy director of the health department was arrested for being the mastermind of a major land-grabbing racket.
He and his associate allegedly prepared forged documents to illegally claim ownership of prime residential plots.
The fraud was discovered when the notary mentioned a 2003 agreement with fake signatures.
The SDM court ruled that the documents produced by the accused were forged, and he has no legal rights over the land.
Further investigation into related cases is ongoing.
Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Indore filed a case against the former president and vice president of Dak-Tar Karmachari Gruh Nirman Sahkari Sanstha Maryadit for illegal plot allotment.
The society, established in 1975, was meant to provide housing for homeless postal and telegraph employees.
The accused allegedly allotted plots to non-members and their own family members, violating the MP Cooperative Act.
Forged membership receipts and fake serial numbers were reportedly created to cover up the illegal allotments.
