Dorf Ketal Plans Rs 30,000 Crore Maharashtra Data Centre

Dorf Ketal, a company known for speciality chemicals, plans to enter the data centre business.

It says it will invest Rs 30,000 crore in Maharashtra.

Its infrastructure arm, Trentar, signed an agreement with the state government.

The proposed site would be a large, 500-megawatt data centre campus.

Officials said it is likely to be built near Navi Mumbai.

The state government will help coordinate permissions and approvals.

The project has also received a letter of intent from the state.

It plans to use renewable energy for 51% of its power needs.

The operator is also considering ways to reuse treated water and use less water for cooling.
