Congress MP Seeks NEET Paper Leak Discussion in Rajya Sabha
A Congress MP named Randeep Surjewala asked the Rajya Sabha to stop all other work and talk about the NEET paper leak.
He said this is important because the NEET exam was canceled due to cheating, which affected over 2.2 million students.
There have also been many other exam leaks and problems with how exams are marked.
This has caused a lot of stress for students, including 93 reported suicides.
The MP also mentioned that police have been acting against students who are protesting peacefully.
He wants the government to make changes to ensure exams are fair and transparent.
The government says it is ready to talk about the issue, but the Congress wants it to be done in a specific way.
Parliament has not been able to do any work for the first three days of the session because of disruptions by the opposition.
Congress MP Randeep Surjewala gave a notice for the suspension of all business in the Rajya Sabha to discuss the NEET paper leak.
The notice is in light of the cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 due to allegations of an organized paper-leak network affecting over 2.2 million candidates.
Repeated paper leaks in at least 65 recruitment examinations have exposed systemic failures in the examination system.
Deficiencies in the CBSE On-Screen Marking (OSM) system have caused widespread complaints and distress among students, including 93 reported suicides.
The Congress wants a full-fledged discussion on the issue of student protests and police action against them following the NEET paper leak.
