Ireland Offers €10,000 Scholarships to International Students
The Government of Ireland is offering scholarships to international students who want to study there.
The scholarship is called GOI-IES and will start taking applications on January 29, 2026.
It gives €10,000 to 60 students every year.
This money helps pay for their studies, like master’s degrees or PhD programmes.
The students' schools in Ireland also don't charge them tuition fees.
The scholarship is run by the Government of Ireland, schools, and a group called the Higher Education Authority.
The last day to apply is March 12, 2026, and the results will be announced in early June 2026.
To get the scholarship, students need to do well in school, have good communication skills, and be involved in activities like sports or arts.
They also need to explain why studying in Ireland is important for their future.
The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) programme will open applications on January 29, 2026.
60 scholarships are awarded annually, each covering one year of full-time study with a €10,000 stipend and a full tuition fee waiver.
Scholarship recipients must be residents outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom and have secured an offer of admission to a one-year master's or doctoral programme at an Irish higher education institution.
The last date to apply is March 12, 2026, with results expected to be announced by early June 2026.
Candidates will be evaluated based on academic performance, communication skills, extracurricular involvement, and a clear statement of purpose.
