India's 2025 Electric Two-Wheeler Market Sees Growth
In 2025, the electric two-wheeler market in India grew a lot, with more than 1.2 million vehicles registered.
This is the second year in a row that the market has crossed the 1 million mark.
Big companies like TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto took the lead, while Ola Electric saw its market share drop.
TVS Motor had the biggest share at 24%, followed by Bajaj Auto at 21%.
Ola's share went down to 16% from 35%.
The market is becoming more competitive, and the tax difference between electric and regular vehicles is getting smaller, which affects the price advantage of electric vehicles.
Experts say the market will keep growing, but not as fast as before, because of better products and brands, not just government subsidies.
Electric two-wheeler registrations in India crossed 1.26 million in 2025, up 11% from the previous year.
TVS Motor led the market with a 24% share, followed by Bajaj Auto at 21%.
Ola Electric's market share declined sharply to 16% from 35%.
Legacy manufacturers regained market leadership through execution strength and dealer networks.
The GST rate difference between ICE and electric vehicles has narrowed, reducing the price advantage of EVs.
