UAE Halts Visas for Pakistani Nationals
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has stopped giving regular visas to people from Pakistan.
Only special passports for government officials and diplomats are still being accepted.
This is because the UAE is worried about some people doing bad things there.
A big meeting in Pakistan talked about this problem.
The UAE said they are making it easier for Pakistanis to get visas online and faster.
Many Pakistanis live and work in the UAE, and the two countries are good friends.
Before, there were some problems with visas, but the UAE said they would help fix them.
The UAE is also one of Pakistan's biggest trading partners.
The UAE has halted issuing regular visas to Pakistani nationals, only accepting blue and diplomatic passports.
The halt is due to concerns about people engaging in criminal activities in the UAE.
A senior interior ministry official in Pakistan revealed this during a Senate committee meeting.
The UAE Ambassador to Pakistan discussed visa facilitation reforms, including online processing and e-visas.
Pakistan and the UAE have close diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, with a large Pakistani expatriate population in the UAE.
