India Invited to Join PaxSilica
The United States has a new plan called PaxSilica to make sure important computer parts are made safely and shared with friendly countries.
The US ambassador in India, Sergio Gor, said India is invited to join this group.
Other countries like Japan and South Korea are already part of it.
This is because India is good at making technology and the US wants to work together.
The ambassador also talked about a trade deal between the US and India, saying they will talk about it soon.
He mentioned that President Trump might visit India in the next year or two and that the friendship between Trump and India's Prime Minister Modi is real.
India's inclusion in PaxSilica is a big step in making sure that important technologies are not controlled by just one country.
It also helps India become a important place for making these technologies.
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor announced India's invitation to join PaxSilica, a US-led initiative to secure the global silicon and semiconductor supply chain.
PaxSilica aims to strengthen cooperation across the entire silicon value chain, from raw materials to advanced technologies and logistics.
Existing members of PaxSilica include the US, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Netherlands, UK, Israel, UAE, and Australia.
India's inclusion reflects its growing role in global technology, manufacturing, and innovation ecosystems.
No formal India-US trade talks are scheduled this week, despite ongoing discussions and optimism from Ambassador Gor.
