Demand Rises for Delhi Metro to Go Underground
People want Delhi’s new Metro lines to be built underground, just like Mumbai’s Metro 3 project.
This idea came up during a talk by Ashwini Bhide, who is in charge of Mumbai’s Metro.
She explained how Mumbai’s underground Metro was a big success.

Mumbai is experiencing increasing population pressure, and modern, integrated solutions like the underground metro and coastal road are essential to easing this burden.
