Indian Companies Announce Dividends and Corporate Actions

Next week, several companies in India will trade ex-dividend, meaning their stock prices will drop by the amount of the dividend they plan to pay.

This affects shareholders who buy shares before the record date.

For example, Bank of Maharashtra will pay Re 1 per share, and Angel One will pay ₹23 per share.

Some companies will also give bonus shares or split their stocks to make them more affordable.

For instance, Jonjua Overseas will give 5 bonus shares for every 40 shares held, and United Van Der Horst will split its stock from ₹5 to Re 1.

These actions help companies reward their shareholders and make their stocks more liquid.

Central Bank of India announced a third interim dividend of ₹0.20 per share for the financial year 2025-26, with the record date set for 23 January 2026.

The bank's shares have seen significant returns over the past five years, despite a recent decline in the last year.
