Kharge targets Modi, Shah over Parliament logjam on student protest

Kharge targets Modi, Shah over Parliament logjam on student protest

Some students in India walked to Parliament on July 20 to ask questions about a test paper leak.

Police stopped them, and some people say the police were too rough.

A leader named Mallikarjun Kharge, who heads the Congress party, wants a government leader named Amit Shah to talk about it in Parliament.

Kharge has been asking for 17 days, but Amit Shah has not made a statement.

Kharge says Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making short videos on Instagram at night instead of coming to Parliament.

He thinks the prime minister and the home minister are avoiding the question.

The two big rooms of Parliament, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, are stuck because of this argument.

Because they are stuck, many official tasks are not getting done.

Kharge says the government should either make a statement or resign.
