Zelenskyy Meets US Leaders Amid Russia Sanctions Vote

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is meeting with all 100 US Senators in Washington.

They are discussing a bill to impose sanctions on Russia to cut off money from energy sales that fund the war in Ukraine.

The bill, which was championed by the late Senator Lindsey Graham, has been pending for about a year.

The Senate might vote on it during Zelenskyy's visit.

The tariff level in the bill was reduced from 500% to 100% to gain support, but some are worried about new powers for Trump if the bill passes.

Zelenskyy is also meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss continued US support for Ukraine.

The US remains a key partner, providing intelligence support and access to the Starlink satellite network used by Ukrainian forces.
