Kavitha threatens 'Chalo Delhi' march demanding 50% BC quota

Kavitha threatens 'Chalo Delhi' march demanding 50% BC quota

K Kavitha is the leader of a political party called the TRS in the Indian state of Telangana.

She spoke at a big meeting in Hyderabad about fairness for a group of people called Backward Classes.

She thinks these people should get half of the seats in law-making bodies.

She says that is fair because Backward Classes make up about half of India's people.

Some other politicians promised a smaller number, but Kavitha says that is not enough.

She told the two biggest national parties, the BJP and the Congress, to pass a new law about this soon.

If they do not, she says her supporters will drive to Delhi in thousands of cars to protest.

She called this plan 'Chalo Delhi,' which means 'Let's go to Delhi.'

She also asked her party to visit every village in Telangana to get ready.
