PFRDA Plans October Launch of Health-Focused NPS Swasthya Product
NPS Swasthya is a proposed pension product that helps people save for healthcare costs.
It is being developed by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority.
The product has already been tested in a trial program.
Officials said the final rules may come in the next few days.
The formal launch could happen in about 30 days, around October 2026.
Part of a person’s pension savings could be used to pay hospitals.

NPS Swasthya would set aside part of a subscriber’s retirement corpus for medical expenses while the remainder stays invested.
