Republic Day 2026: 77th Celebration Details
Republic Day in India is a big celebration that happens every year on January 26th.
It marks the day when India's constitution came into effect in 1950.
In 2026, it will be the 77th Republic Day, but many people think it will be the 78th.
This confusion happens because the counting starts from 1950, not from the year India gained independence in 1947.
The main event is a big parade in New Delhi, which starts at 9:30 AM.
People can watch it live on TV or online.
Important guests from Europe will be there too.
Tickets for the parade cost between ₹20 and ₹100.
Republic Day 2026 marks the 77th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
The main event is the Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, starting at 9:30 AM.
President Droupadi Murmu will hoist the National flag, and PM Narendra Modi will lay a wreath at the National War Memorial.
