Telangana ACB Books Mines Official in ₹3.06 Crore DA Case

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau is investigating Mines and Geology official B Jaya Raju, also called Bojja Jayaraj.

The agency suspects he may have more assets than his official income can explain.

It searched places connected to him, his family and associates.

The searches found property, vehicles, cash, gold and money in accounts worth about ₹3.06 crore.

Investigators also examined money transfers involving the officer’s driver and daughter.

The driver reportedly said some money came from people involved in sand transportation.

The two reports differ on the number of search locations and the direction and amount of one reported transfer.

The ACB said it is still checking whether the transactions involved illegal payments and whether more assets exist.
