US Plans Gaza Force Deployment Early 2025
The United States is planning to send international troops to Gaza early next year.
This force, called the International Stabilization Force (ISF), will help make Gaza safe and stop Hamas from having weapons.
Many countries, including Indonesia, are ready to send troops.
The force will work with Palestinian police to make sure Gaza is peaceful.
The plan is for Israeli troops to slowly leave Gaza as the ISF takes control.
However, it's not clear how Hamas will give up their weapons.
The U.S. and other countries are still discussing the details of this plan.
The U.S. plans to deploy the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza as early as next month.
The ISF will not fight Hamas but will work on stabilization and demilitarization.
Indonesia is prepared to deploy up to 20,000 troops for health and construction tasks in Gaza.
The ISF will initially deploy in the area of Gaza controlled by Israel, with Israeli troops gradually withdrawing based on demilitarization milestones.
The U.S. is working out the size, composition, housing, training, and rules of engagement for the ISF.
