Maharashtra Minister Outlines Language Priorities at ETNow Conclave
'Marathi First, English Next, Hindi Optional': Maharashtra Minister Yogesh Kadam Sets Language Priority Straight At ETNow.in Business Conclave & Awards · timesnownews.com

Imagine Maharashtra as a school with different languages.

The government, represented by Minister Yogesh Kadam, said that Marathi is the most important language to learn first, like it's part of the state's culture.

Then comes English, to be the second language.

Hindi is also an option, but it is not required.

Kadam emphasized that people who try to cause violence or create problems because of language will be punished, especially around the time of local elections, which makes the language debate more intense.

He mentioned that people can file complaints with the police instead of taking matters into their own hands.
