Goa Protest: Hunger Strike Saves Lake
People in a village called Chimbel in Goa have been on a hunger strike for a month.
They were protesting against two big construction projects: a mall and a tall government building.
These projects were near a lake called Toyyar Lake, which is very important for the village.
The lake and the area around it are wetlands, which help with flooding and keeping the groundwater full.
After the protest, the government said they would move the projects away from Chimbel.
The people are happy because they think this will protect their lake and the environment.
