Loreto South Asia advocates cerebral equality for gender justice

Loreto South Asia, a group that educates and empowers girls, is speaking up about something called 'cerebral equality.'

This means they believe everyone, no matter if they're a boy or a girl, should be treated fairly and judged by their abilities, not by old ideas about what they can or can't do.

They're saying this during a special time called the 16-day global campaign to end violence against women and girls.

This year, they're focusing on stopping online bullying and harm against women.

Sister Monica Suchiang, who leads Loreto South Asia, says women should not be judged by how they balance work and family, but by what they can do.

She also says men should be valued for their abilities too.

Loreto has been helping girls, especially those who come from difficult backgrounds, for a long time.

Recently, two groups of religious sisters, the Congregation of Jesus and the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, officially joined together.

This big moment was announced in Spain and celebrated in Calcutta.
