Willie Walsh Takes Helm of IndiGo for Global Expansion
IndiGo is India’s biggest airline.
It hired a new boss, Willie Walsh, who used to run big airlines in Europe and the world’s airline trade group.
He will try to grow IndiGo’s flights to other countries and make the airline run better.
The company has more than 430 planes and flies almost 2,200 times a day.
People who own shares in IndiGo felt good about the new boss and the company’s stock went up a little.
Walsh says India’s air travel market is growing fast, so it’s a good time for IndiGo to expand.
He also wants to keep customers happy and improve how the airline works.
