Ladakh LG Promotes GI Tag Products for Youth Livelihood
LG Gupta, the leader of Ladakh, wants the youth to start making a living by using local products that have special GI tags.
GI tags are like a mark that shows where a product comes from, like a special label for things from Ladakh.
He said this at a festival where people showed off their handmade goods.
He thinks the youth can use this to earn money and help people in faraway places.
Some products like apricots and pashmina already have these tags.
The government will help by giving them tools at lower prices so they can create jobs by using their skills and local materials.

The initiative was discussed during the National Handloom Festival in Leh.
