Jorhat Promotes Road Safety with Pen Giveaways for Riders
Imagine you're riding your bike, and you're wearing a helmet!
The people in charge of making roads safe in Jorhat decided to do something nice.
They gave out special pens to anyone wearing a helmet to say 'thank you'!
This was part of a plan to teach everyone about the rules of the road, like the ones in the Motor Vehicles Act.
They want people to be safe by following the rules and making smart choices, like wearing helmets.
They hope that by giving out pens, more people will choose to be safe riders.
They'll keep doing this in other places, even near schools, to help make sure everyone knows how to be safe.
Jorhat launched a traffic safety awareness drive.
Pens with road safety messages were given to helmet-wearing riders.
The initiative was organized by Jorhat District Legal Services Authority (DLSA).
The campaign aimed to educate citizens about the Motor Vehicles Act.
Similar campaigns will be held in other parts of town.
