Union Budget 2026-27 Enhances Education and Tourism

Union Budget 2026-27 Enhances Education and Tourism

The Indian government has set aside a huge amount of money, ₹1,39,289 crore, for education and tourism in the Union Budget 2026-27.

This money will be used to improve schools and colleges, create new university townships, and set up special labs for things like animation and gaming.

The budget also plans to build hostels for girls in science and technology schools to help more girls study these subjects.

There are also plans to develop eco-tourism in places like Araku Valley and Pulicat Lake, which could help tribal communities.

Additionally, the budget includes measures to enhance the tourist experience, such as establishing a National Institute of Hospitality, providing professional training to tourist guides, and introducing a special tourist train to Pulicat Lake.

However, some experts say that just building new things isn't enough.

They want the government to also focus on hiring good teachers and making sure the new programs are useful.

They also want to make sure that tribal communities are involved in the eco-tourism projects so they can benefit from them.
