Golden Globes 2026: New Podcast Category and Key Dates Announced
The Golden Globe Awards, a big night for movies and TV, are adding a new category for podcasts!
This means podcasts, like shows you listen to on your phone, will now compete for an award.
The awards show is on January 11, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The process starts with submissions, then nominations, and finally, the awards.
This year the event will be hosted by Nikki Glaser.
This change is a sign of how popular podcasts have become, just like movies and TV shows!
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 11, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
A new 'Best Podcast' category will be introduced, recognizing the growing influence of podcasts.
The submission portal opens August 1, 2025, for Motion Picture and Television entries, and October 1, 2025, for Podcasts.
Nomination ballots for Television and Podcasts will be sent to voters on November 17, 2025.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, hosted by Nikki Glaser.
