Himachal BJP Leader Urges CM to Cut Political Appointments

Himachal Pradesh is considering reducing the number of some senior government officers.

The proposed changes include fewer Indian Administrative Service and Indian Forest Service officers.

The government has not given a specific number for possible Indian Police Service reductions.

BJP leader Suresh Kashyap said this was the wrong place to save money.

He said the government should reduce unnecessary political appointments instead.

Kashyap also criticized the state’s borrowing and spending.

He urged the government to increase its own revenue and build useful assets.

He said the government should focus on development and helping poor people.
