Bihar CM assures farmers of daytime power and diesel subsidy
In Bihar, the Chief Minister promised farmers that they will get electricity for irrigation from 6 AM to 6 PM every day.
This is because there hasn't been enough rain, and farmers need more water for their crops.
If the situation gets worse, the government will also give a subsidy on diesel so farmers can use diesel pumps to water their fields.
Some people in the government are saying the power supply needs to be fixed right away, while others say the government is already working hard to help farmers.
Farmers in Bihar are facing issues with irregular power supply for irrigation during the Monsoon Session.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary assured daytime power supply from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. for irrigation.
The government is monitoring the rainfall situation and may introduce a diesel subsidy if drought conditions are identified.
Opposition members called for immediate strengthening of the electricity distribution network.
The ruling alliance defended the government's efforts to support farmers during the Monsoon season.
