Tata Stocks Fall After Chandrasekaran Declines Reappointment

N Chandrasekaran is a very important business leader in India.

He is the chairman of a big group of companies called the Tata Group, which makes software, cars and steel, and runs the airline Air India.

He has worked with the group for almost 40 years.

He announced that he will step down when his time as chairman ends in February 2027.

The owners of the group wanted him to stay for five more years.

But one person on the board did not agree with that plan.

Because not everyone agreed, he decided not to stay.

When people heard this news, the prices of many Tata company shares went down.

He has asked the board to pick a new leader soon so the change can happen smoothly.
