Warsh Heads to Jackson Hole With No Rate Signal Expected

Kevin Warsh is the new boss of the United States Federal Reserve, the group that helps manage the country's money system.

Every year, important money experts gather at a big meeting called the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium.

This will be Kevin Warsh's first time speaking at this meeting as the Fed's leader.

People who watch money closely hoped he would tell them whether interest rates will go up or down.

Interest rates affect how much it costs to borrow money for things like houses and cars.

But Warsh surprised everyone by saying he would rather talk about bigger, long-term problems.

He also said it is too early to lower interest rates because prices for things are still going up too fast.

He is creating five special teams to study different parts of how the Fed works.

President Trump chose Warsh for this job after the old leader, Jerome Powell, retired.

Warsh's job is tricky because he has to balance high prices with keeping people employed.
