Mathura Officials Discover Police Land Encroached Since 1992
Imagine the police needed some land to build houses for their officers.
They were given more than three acres of land way back in 1992.
But for many years, no houses were built there.
Recently, during a meeting where people could tell the big bosses problems, some police officers came forward.
They told the bosses that the land meant for police houses was actually taken over by someone else!
It seems like since 1992, no one looked after the land, and now it's been built on or even sold.
The bosses were surprised and told the local police to quickly check the land and get it back so they can finally build the houses.
Mathura officials learned about a 1992 land encroachment at a public grievance meet.
Over three acres of land allotted for police quarters have allegedly been encroached upon.
The issue was brought to light by police officials during a 'Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas' in Mant tehsil.
The encroacher allegedly tampered with land documents and sold part of the land, obtaining a stay order.
District Magistrate and SSP have ordered a measurement and recovery of the land for police housing.
