Hyderabad to widen nine major roads

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has proposed widening nine major roads in the city to reduce traffic congestion and support urban development.

The roads include the PVNR Expressway, Hitec City Junction-Madhapur Road, and GVK Mall Junction-KBR Park Road.

The proposed widenings range from 24 to 60 metres, aiming to improve traffic flow and accommodate growing urban needs.

The project aims to balance the needs of traffic congestion relief with urban development, though it may lead to increased traffic and potential displacement of residents and businesses.
