Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Fully Operational After 28 Years
Imagine a train line through the mountains of Jammu and Kashmir!
This project, started way back in 1997, is finally finished after almost 28 years.
It involved building tunnels and bridges, including a really tall bridge called the Chenab Bridge.
The train line connects different towns and villages, so it's easier for people to travel and helps the area connect with the rest of the country.
The last part of the railway was opened in June 2025 by the Prime Minister.
