Karnataka Government Plans NPS Scrapping, OPS Return Soon
Karnataka’s government wants to change how government workers receive pensions.
It plans to stop using the New Pension Scheme, or NPS.
The government says it will bring back the Old Pension Scheme, or OPS.
Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara announced this plan.
He said government employees have wanted this change for a long time.
He also said the Congress party promised it before the elections.
