Indian Railways Approves Projects to Boost Safety and Efficiency

Indian Railways approved several projects to make train travel safer and smoother.

One project will expand Kavach Version 4.0 in the Lucknow Division.

Kavach can help stop trains from passing red signals by applying the brakes when needed.

Another project will install modern electronic signalling at seven stations in the Solapur Division.

The railway will also upgrade electrical equipment on a section between Savalyapuram and Guntur.

A new four-lane road bridge will replace a level crossing on another railway route.

The bridge is expected to reduce conflicts between road vehicles and trains.

Together, the projects are designed to improve railway operations and passenger safety.
