Texas Longhorns RB Tre Wisner Enters Transfer Portal
Tre Wisner, a star running back for the Texas Longhorns, has decided to leave the team and play his final college football season somewhere else.
He led the team in rushing for two years in a row, but injuries and team struggles made this season tough.
Wisner had some great games, like a big win against Texas A&M.
Now, the Longhorns will need to find new running backs for next season, as both Wisner and another running back, CJ Baxter, are leaving.
Tre Wisner, a junior running back for the Texas Longhorns, has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
He led the team in rushing for the second straight season but was limited by injuries in 2025.
Wisner rushed for 1,734 yards and scored 8 touchdowns over his Texas career.
His departure follows that of fellow running back CJ Baxter, leaving a significant void in the backfield.
The Longhorns will need to rebuild their running back position for the 2026 season.
