Vasai Road Terminus Construction Begins, Targeting March 2028 Opening

A new railway terminus is being built at Vasai Road.

Western Railway says construction work has started and major contracts have been awarded.

The project is expected to be ready by March 2028.

The railway says it is not currently behind schedule.

Workers have completed some dismantling and have built part of the new platform wall.

The plan also includes railway tracks, platforms, buildings, a skywalk and a foot overbridge.

The terminus is designed to handle 12 trains.

It is expected to give passengers in the surrounding region more railway capacity.
