AIADMK-BJP Alliance Strengthens for 2026 Tamil Nadu Elections
The AIADMK, which is part of the NDA (a group of political parties), has chosen Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) as their main leader for the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections.
The BJP, another big party in the NDA, supports this choice.
They are also trying to get other smaller parties and groups to join them to make their alliance stronger.
In the last elections in 2021, the DMK won more seats than the NDA.
Now, the NDA wants to unite and be ready for the next elections.
The BJP is also organizing a big journey called 'Tamilagam Talai Nimiral' to protest against the DMK government's alleged mistakes.
They are asking people to support the NDA in the next elections.
The BJP and AIADMK leaders are working together to make their alliance stronger and to highlight the good work of the central government.
AIADMK officially announced Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) as the NDA's chief ministerial face for the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections.
The BJP's central leadership is closely monitoring and endorsing the alliance-building efforts in Tamil Nadu, including a yatra to protest the DMK government's alleged misrule.
The NDA is pursuing smaller parties like DMDK, PMK, and TMC, and considering actor Vijay's TVK to strengthen their front against the DMK.
EPS claims that Chief Minister M K Stalin is concerned about the alliance between the AIADMK and the BJP.
In the 2021 Assembly elections, the DMK-led coalition won 133 seats, while the NDA managed to win around 75 seats.
