Real Madrid Shatter Transfer Record for Wonderkid Yan Diomande
Real Madrid is a very famous football club in Spain.
They have signed an exciting young player named Yan Diomande.
Yan is 19 years old and comes from Ivory Coast.
He plays on the wing, running fast along the sides of the pitch.
Last season he scored 12 or 13 goals for his old club RB Leipzig and helped his teammates score eight or nine more.
He was named the best young player in the German league.
Real Madrid paid around 130 million euros for him — the most it has ever paid for a player.
Some reports say the deal could reach 140 million euros with bonuses.
He signed a seven-year contract, so he will stay with the club until 2033.
Yan said joining Real Madrid was a childhood dream come true.
Real Madrid confirmed the signing of Ivorian international Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig on a seven-year contract running until June 30, 2033.
The reported club-record fee is around €130 million ($160 million); MARCA reported up to €125 million plus €10–15 million in add-ons, while another report put it at €140 million ($161 million) including bonuses.
If completed on those terms, the deal would eclipse the €103 million plus add-ons Real Madrid paid for Jude Bellingham in 2023.
Diomande, 19, scored 13 goals with nine assists last season — reported as 12 Bundesliga goals with eight or nine assists elsewhere — helping Leipzig finish third and qualify for the Champions League.
Madrid beat Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool to his signing, with PSG withdrawing over the fee and a Liverpool bid reportedly rejected in June.
