R Vinay Kumar appointed Karnataka head coach replaces Yere Goud

A famous cricket player named R Vinay Kumar is going to be the new coach of the Karnataka cricket team.

Vinay used to be a fast bowler for India's national team.

A long time ago, he led Karnataka to win the Ranji Trophy two years in a row.

That is a very big cricket championship in India.

Now he will be the head coach again and try to win more trophies.

He is replacing the old coach, whose name was Yere Goud.

Other coaches will help him too, including Deepak Chougule for fielding and Mansur Ali Khan for bowling.

Karnataka has won the Ranji Trophy eight times before.

Last season they lost the final to Jammu and Kashmir.

Vinay wants to add another domestic title to Karnataka's list of wins.
