Sports Governance Bill 2025 Introduced in Parliament
The Sports Minister has proposed a new law for sports.
This law will create groups to run different sports in the country.
These groups will include the National Olympic Committee, the National Paralympic Committee, and sports federations for each sport.
The main goal is to set up governing bodies for sports.
For the first time, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which is usually independent, will be part of this new law.
