DFS Launches Startup Common Application on Jan Samarth Portal
Startups often need money to grow their ideas into real businesses.
It can be hard to find the right loans.
Now, the government has made a new website called the Jan Samarth portal.
On this website, startups can easily apply for loans from all the big government banks at the same time.
This new part of the website helps them fill out one application for loans up to 20 crore rupees.
The website uses information like your business registration and tax records to make the process quick and clear.
There are also special deals on interest for women who want to start businesses.
This helps make it easier for new companies to get the money they need to succeed.
The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has launched a Startup Common Application Journey on the Jan Samarth portal.
This initiative offers loans up to ₹20 crore under the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups.
The platform integrates data sources such as PAN, GST, Udyam, ITRs, and credit bureaus for faster processing and transparency.
Developed by the Indian Banks’ Association in collaboration with PSB Alliance, it allows startups to apply for credit across all Public Sector Banks (PSBs).
Special interest concessions are provided to women entrepreneurs to promote inclusivity.
