Kohli and Rohit face BCCI contract demotion
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma might be moved to a lower pay grade in their cricket contracts because they stopped playing Test matches.
This could mean they earn Rs 2 crore less every year.
At the same time, Shubman Gill, who is now the captain of the Indian cricket team in Test and ODI matches, is likely to get a bigger contract and more money.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will make these decisions at a meeting on 22 December.
The new BCCI president, Mithun Manhas, and treasurer, Raghuram Bhatt, will be part of this meeting.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma may be demoted from A+ to Grade A in BCCI contracts.
Their annual salaries could be reduced by Rs 2 crore.
Shubman Gill is likely to be promoted to the A+ category.
The decision will be made during the BCCI's 31st AGM on 22 December.
Mithun Manhas and Raghuram Bhatt will attend their first AGM as BCCI president and treasurer, respectively.
