HYDRAA Warns Public About Extortion by Agency Impersonators

HYDRAA says some people are pretending to work for the agency.

They are reportedly frightening people and asking them for money.

HYDRAA says people should not pay them, even if they make threats or promise help.

Anyone affected can tell HYDRAA, the Anti-Corruption Bureau or the police.

The agency also explained that it responds to requests from municipal corporations about dangerous buildings.

It warned hostel operators to move out of unsafe buildings by December 31.

After that date, HYDRAA and municipal officials may take action.
