Singapore to Increase S Pass Salary Thresholds
Singapore is changing how it allows foreign workers to work there.
They're raising the minimum salary needed for an S Pass, which lets skilled workers come to Singapore.
Starting in 2025, the lowest salary for this pass will be $3,300, and even more for those in finance.
Also, employers will pay more to have these workers.
The goal is to get higher-skilled workers.
The rules for other work passes, like the EP, aren't changing yet.
Singapore is increasing the minimum salary for S Pass holders to attract higher-skilled workers.
The S Pass minimum qualifying salary will increase to $3,300 from September 1, 2025, and $3,800 for Financial Services.
S Pass levy rates will also rise from $550 to $650 starting September 1, 2025.
The changes aim to improve the quality of S Pass holders and align with local APT workforce standards.
