Ashish Kapoor Granted Bail in Rape Case

Ashish Kapoor, a TV actor, was accused of rape.

The Delhi court decided to release him on bail.

The judge explained that the police did not need him for any further investigation.

The court noted the actor had no prior offenses and had cooperated with the investigation.

The police took three weeks to give him a notice to join the investigation and the court said if Kapoor wanted to run away he would have done so right after the case was filed.

Two other people accused in the case had already been granted bail.

The court determined there was no reason to think Kapoor would commit a similar crime in the future.
