Ailing Hippo at Kolkata’s Alipore Zoo Steps Out After 20 Days

A young hippo at a zoo in Kolkata, India, has been sick and couldn't walk for 20 days.

It stayed in the water the whole time.

The zoo doctors gave it special medicine and light treatments to help it get better.

Finally, the hippo tried to come out of the water but was too weak.

The doctors are hopeful that with more treatment, the hippo will be able to walk again soon.

The hippo got hurt and had an infection, which made it harder for it to get better.

The zoo brought in special doctors to help take care of the hippo.

There are two other hippos at the zoo, but one is very old, and another one died recently.
