NSE Market Share Increases Due to Tuesday Expiry
Imagine two big marketplaces where people buy and sell stocks.
The NSE, or National Stock Exchange, saw its business grow in September, mainly because of how they set up their trading days.
Before, the BSE, or Bombay Stock Exchange, had an advantage because their trading days were spaced out more.
But with the changes, NSE's business went up, while BSE's went down a bit.
Experts are saying that these changes may affect how much people trade and that the market needs to adjust.
Even though there's a lot of trading, some people are worried about the prices of certain stocks.
NSE's market share in the derivatives market increased to 61.9% in September.
The NSE's average daily turnover grew by 14% to 270 lakh crore in September.
The BSE recorded a 6.6% decline in turnover.
Total turnover for both exchanges rose 22% month-on-month.
The BSE share price fell around 5% in September.
