ECI Launches ECINET for Unified Election Management
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched a new digital platform called ECINET.
This platform brings together over 40 different apps and websites related to elections into one easy-to-use place.
The Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, said this new tool will help fight false information and make elections more transparent.
ECINET is available in many languages and was tested during the 2025 Bihar elections.
It helps voters, political parties, and officials with tasks like registering to vote, finding election information, and reporting problems.
The platform also ensures that all the data is accurate and secure.
Over 10 crore registration forms and 150 crore documents have been processed through ECINET, and more than 11 lakh Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are registered on the platform.
ECINET is a new digital platform launched by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to consolidate over 40 existing election-related apps and portals.
The platform aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and public confidence in election management and counter misinformation.
ECINET is available in 22 scheduled languages and English and was developed in strict accordance with legal standards.
The platform offers integrated services such as voter registration, electoral roll searches, application tracking, candidate information, and grievance redressal.
ECINET was successfully piloted during the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), processing over 10 crore registration forms and digitising upwards of 150 crore documents.
