BMC Denies Treatment Lapses In Three Rajawadi Hospital Infant Deaths

BMC Denies Treatment Lapses In Three Rajawadi Hospital Infant Deaths

Three babies died in separate cases at Rajawadi Hospital on August 26.

The hospital said two babies had already died before their mothers arrived.

In the first case, doctors used a sonography scan to confirm that the baby had no heartbeat.

In the second case, the mother had diabetes and high blood pressure, and the hospital said she had missed follow-up care for about 15 days.

The third baby was born after an urgent Caesarean section.

The baby had a very low heart rate and was taken to the NICU.

The baby died despite emergency treatment.

The BMC said its records did not show delayed care or negligence.
