MPs Demand Reconsideration of Nashik-Pune Railway Route
Some important people called MPs want to change the plan for a new train route between two big cities in India, Nashik and Pune.
The government has decided to make the train go through a place called Shirdi, but the MPs think this is not a good idea.
They want the train to go directly from Nashik to Pune instead.
They say this will help many people who travel between these cities every day for work, school, and other things.
The MPs met with the person in charge of trains in India to talk about this.
They think the new plan will make the trip longer and not help the cities grow as much as the direct route would.
MPs demand reconsideration of the Nashik–Pune railway route via Shirdi.
They propose a direct route via Sinnar–Sangamner (Akole)–Narayangaon–Manchar–Chakan.
The current route is diverted to avoid the radio-sensitive zone of GMRT near Narayangaon.
MPs argue that the diversion will increase travel time and hinder industrial growth.
Citizens, business communities, and stakeholders support the direct route.
